Memorable Moments of 2009
This year has been a eventful to say the least. Good and bad, I have some very memorable moments that will be added to the list of stories to tell my nieces and nephew as they get older.
With so many great moments, the most memorable for me are:
1. Watching Barack Obama be sworn in as President of the United States
2. Attending my first Drupalcon
3. Visiting the pyramids in Belize
4. Quitting my job rather abruptly
5. Watching my dad walk for the first time after his accident
6. The entire Mike Capuano for US Senate campaign (granted this isn't a moment, but there are too many to list)
Then there are the more than honorable mentions:
- Telling Kal Penn and his parents not to cut me and my friends in the drink line at the Inaugural Ball
- Celebrating with Senator Begich and campaign staff after he was sworn in as Senator
- The entire Jane Goodall Institute website redesign project (I learned A LOT)
- Becoming friends with and hanging out with Loryn
- Partying with Will in Baltimore
- Hanging out with Maria and friends in DC
- Laughing so hard when I thought a homeless guy selling roses made off with my 20 as I tried to buy Heather some flowers (I still laugh at that)
- Getting drunk with Alan and Zodiac before I moved back to Boston
- Moving in, and out, of my old apartment
- Fighting falling in love, ultimately falling in love, and continually fighting to fall out of it (Lesson learned is the harder you fight the harder you fall)
- Last New Years in Fort Lauderdale
- Getting drunk with the campaign staff on Primary night
All in all, this was another great year. If 2009 was this eventful, what is going to happen in 2010?
