Monitor you success on Twitter with Qwitter

Qwitter, a free service which notifies you when people stop following you on Twitter, can be a useful tool for measuring unsubscribe rates.

I found this interesting service today called Qwitter, which notifies you when people stop following you on Twitter. Me being the metrics junky I am automatically thought that this is a great way for campaigns and organizations to monitor the effectiveness of their Twitter strategy by finding out what resonates with your audience.

All you need to do is go to useqwitter.com and enter the username of the Twitter account you want Qwitter to monitor and the email address where you want to receive email notifications. Qwitter will email you who has stopped following you and what message was sent when the person stopped following you.

This is a great application for monitoring what types of messages are driving people to stop following you. As an example, if you are sending out a lot of fundraising requests and you notice a lot of people stop following you each time one is sent out, you may want to rethink your strategy.

Let me know if any of you are using this and how it may have help you change your strategy.
